The Ivorians came into the tournament as a favorite, with a
full of figures like Yaya Toure and Gervinho Wilfried Bony. The
"Elephants" were finalists in 2006 and 2012, but did not win the
tournament since 1992 when they beat Ghana 11-10 in a penalty shootout to win
their only title.
Ghana, four-time champion of Africa, has been one of the best
teams in the continent in recent years, but does not win the Cup since 1982.
