German football is on the way to return, but the
exact date on which it will return is unknown at the moment. The DFL (German Football League) presented this
Thursday the plan to resume both the Bundesliga
and the Bundesliga 2, announcing
that it will take place with games behind closed doors, but regarding when this
return will be effective, the doubt remains in the air. "It would be
pretentious of us to set a date," said DFL Administrative Director
Christian Seifert.
It is ruled out, however, that it will start playing on the
first weekend as previously speculated. The process for German football to
resume is underway, but will not be completed as quickly. In this sense,
Seifert pointed out that it does not depend only on the DFL, and everything
points to the fact that the specific date will just be decided at a meeting
that will take place next week with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and the prime ministers
of the different federal states of the Germanic country.
With all this, the intention would be to finish the
championship before June 30, but at the same time it is not ruled out that, if
necessary, it will also be played during the month of July.
Finally, it is said that a total of 20,000 tests could be
carried out so that the remaining games to be played can be played in
acceptable security conditions.
